Despicable Me Minion Rush Game!

It's been a while since I last posted on this blog my life has been pretty hectic recently but I've really been getting into mobile gaming recently with candy crush saga online, running with friends and my most recent time passer which is the new game Despicable Me Minion Rush! You can also play the game online in your browser here; http://www.fizzlegames.com/action-games/despicable-me-minion-rush-game/

The game is a never ending running game similar to the old classic Temple Run which seems to be a popular genre of game growing more and more every day! The game has been released on the back of the hit film which has recently been released and im dying to go watch it after playing this it looks so funny!

Your basically a small minion running through the streets trying to get as far as you possibly can making sure you don't hit any objects or obstacles that get in your way all while collecting bananas for more points! The further you run and the more bananas you manage to collect the more points you will earn which you can then submit and compare against friends which makes it a bit more addictive.

The film itself looks really funny and they transferred some of that fun over into the game so you can pick up cute little costumes also while your running. It's definitely worth trying out and if you do end up downloading the game make sure you drop me a message and i'll compete with you ;P

You can download the game on the android store here; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftDMHM&hl=en

And here's a screenshot of the game;

Candy Crush Saga Has Got Me Addicted!

So after I moved from my Blackberry over to the iPhone 5 I decided to take a look at some of the top featured apps and ran across Candy Crush. I'd heard a lot about this game from my girl friends who said they were addicted and because it's free to download I decided to give it a whirl!

Long story short, I got hooked after about 5 minutes haha it kind of reminds me of Bejeweled but just seems to feel and play better with some better features I guess added to fit in with today's modern gaming era.

The aim of the game is to swap candy around so that you match at least 3 in a row to remove them from the grid, and then you can get bonus candy which does things like remove a full line or all a certain color candy depending if you manage to create a 4 or 5 in a row match.

It's great to pass the time and I'm constantly on it when I get a spare 5 minutes to pass but I'm pretty much stuck now on level 25, I think there are over 300 levels overall!! The game is free but does offer you bonus upgrades which you can buy with real money through the app store credits to make life a bit easier to complete the levels, I haven't managed to get myself to come to that point yet but I can totally understand why someone would and they are judging by how big this game has become!

You can download candy crush for your iPhone here or if you don't have an iPhone or android smart phone yet I found this pretty cool online website which has the official game that can be played from your browser for free. The gameplay is the same but it doesn't have the story mode like the app does.

Happy crushing!

New Flash Games Website To Rival Armor and Kong!

So in my quest to kill my boredom I decided to have a look around the internet and try find a new flash games website instead of my usual spots on kongregate.com and armorgames.

After a few searches and finding a few new games been released I came across this games website. Playberry.com seems like a new kid on the block and I'm still not sure on who is behind it but they have done a great job with it so far!

The design is really clean and easy to navigate and it still has that Kongregate feel but just with less clutter.

I signed up to check out the members backend area and although it still needs working on the basics are already in there and I'm already flying up through the levels to being on the way to the top player on the site!

I don't know what they plan to add for the future but I really hope they keep expanding on the site and at least start adding leader boards and achievements!

I think it's about time someone new came along to offer new games but I do worry about the flash games market in general, it seems with the massive increase of mobile games and what not that its just a matter of time before it all totally dies out and games built on platforms such as HTML5 take over.

I've still not really got into the mobile gaming bug yet and in fairness most of the big game apps that are succesfful on there have derived from a similar online flash game anyway such as angry birds and crush the castle just to name one.

Which do you guys currently prefer to play on? Are you a fully converted mobile gamer? or like me are you still stuck in your old ways...

Funny New Fitness Blog

I'm quite keen when it comes to keeping fit and staying in shape, I have to be! My boring old 9-5 desk job makes life a lot harder especially when I'm trying to dodge that damn biscuit tin when I go for a tea break!

Anyway, one of my guilty pleasures is going out and searching the web for fitness bloggers. I like to read personal fitness blogs as you can relate to the people behind them. I'm not talking about the normal boring stuff you see EVERYWHERE like 'how to lose weight fast' and 'top 10 ways to lose weight super quick'

All that stuff is usually written with usually an alterior motive, the creator will no doubt be trying to worm some money out of you in one fashion or another.

Anyway so to stop me ranting and to move on I wanted to give a shout out to a new blog I've found which has just started by two young guys called Chris and Jord. These guys have taken a fun spin on the normal blog approach and are having a lot of fun with it and its making for great reading.

Not only that, these guys don't claim to be guru's but you can tell they clearly know what they're talking about and the shape they're in now is actually nothing to be ashamed of! they're just striving for a super lean abercrombie fitness model look I guess!

Anyway I'm going to stop blowing wind up their arses and let you go check it out for yourself

New Flash Games Website

Soooo been the game geek that I am I've got wind of a new start up site that's coming very soon and has apparantly got some pretty good backing behind them!

Aparantly a new flash games website called FizzleGames.com looks like it's going to be coming into the market and hit the ground running with some pretty awesome new game sponsorships!

As far as I can see or from what I've been told its currently a 2 man team who have a pretty good background in the casual gaming niche so I'm really looking forward to seeing what these guys come up with!

As you can see from the link the site at the moment seems to be a live testing ground for them working on the site, which is actually pretty cool as you can see exactly what they're doing if your sad enough like me and re visit it every few hours throughout the day! haha

Needless to say, whichever games they release, you guys will be getting my full in-depth review of them and I won't be holding back! if they're lame... I'll tell ya!

oh... and its friday, happy weekend! (is that even a saying?)

Game Review On The Flash Game Happy Wheels

With a slogan like “try and try until you win” you can already tell how addictive this game can really be. The graphics are superb and at some spots are so realistic they can be considered on the edge of "extremely" graphic especially for younger children. The beginning theme music has nothing on the sound effects that the characters make and the sounds of when a character gets hurt or is dying can be slightly disturbing though.

The object of the game is to go as far as you can with your motorized character without losing your life, limbs or blood. Each level of path you travel down is more like an obstacle course though. Filled with wrecking balls, spikes and landmines and breakable projectiles such as bottles, chairs and televisions. Each obstacle that you run into can cost you any where from some blood to a limb, but if you lose your head or get blown up then it is game over.

There is an amusing cast of characters to choose from each which their own special ability to match their motorized vehicle. There is the doorman on a Segway who has the ability to jump, the old man in a jet-fueled wheelchair with the ability to boost, a father and his young child on a bicycle with the ability to brake, the couple on a moped with the ability to boost but just slightly, an obese middle aged woman in a motorized shopping cart has the ability to jump, a heavy set redneck on a ride on lawn mower with the ability to jump, a explorer in a mining cart that has the ability to hook up to other carts and last but not least Santa and his sled with a limited ability to fly, which by the way is not pulled by rein-deers but by elves. The most amusing character is probably the lawn mower red neck who can run over food to eat and occasionally random people that get in his way.

The general controls for the game is the space bar, shift, ctrl and the four directional arrows on the keyboard. The letter z is also used to eject your character from their vehicle. This game is filled with non-stop action from swinging on ropes to reaching over head paths. The yellow and black paths lead to the finish line but good luck getting there.

Bloons Tower Defense 5 Finally Released!

It's like Christmas just came around all again! Ninja Kiwi have finally released Bloons Tower Defense 5 (BTD5)!

If you guys don't know what this game is yet you need to get to know it! This is as you can see the 5th in the series of the tower defense style and it is by far the best in terms of detail and features.

There's been a few new additions in the 'hard' style as well as new bloons shaped like hearts that regenerate and a number of new monkey towers!

I don't know the exact date when the game was released but I found it yesterday and I'm already hooked! spent near on all last night playing it, it's pretty amazing how fast time passes when you are playing! haha

When you first give it a go you'll have no experiance points and only be able to build monkey dart throwing towers but don't let that put you off you'll progress quickly and unlock everything in no time if your as hardcore as I am!

This is addictive and don't say I didn't warn ya!
